Each hunter paid $5 to register their deer as they brought them in to the Buck Pole.  Just for registering, each received a commemorative Mancelona Buck Pole Patch/year emblem, and a digital photo.  In addition, while supplies last, hunters who register received (at random; prizes varied, while supplies last) a reuseable Family Fare shopping tote bag, a 10# bag potatoes from Kitchen Farms, seasoning marinade from Alden Mill House, a cap, ink pens, pads of paper, key chains, koozie cups, bottle openers, wildlife prints, face shield, coffee, coupons to local businesses and more. (That's a great variety of incentives, just for registering!).

Community raffle drawing - is open to anyone and everyone.  Top prize is $1,000 cash.  Second prize is $150 cash, and third prize is $100 cash.  Plus, there are approximately 100 other items to be raffled off.  These tickets are $6 for 5, or $1 each.  You do not need to be present to win these prizes in the community raffle drawing.  Tickets are on sale throughout stores and will be sold at the Buck Pole, too.

 

BONFIRE, CONCESSION STAND, STATS, WARMING TENT AND MORE - The buck pole isn't only for hunters.  Come join us in the warming tent, see the statistics of all the deer.  Gather round the bonfire to keep warm - roast some marshmallows if you'd like!  The Rotary Club of Mancelona is handling the concessions this year.  Hot food and beverages will be available for purchase both days.

 

LIVE WEB CAM - 186Networks will sponsor the live web cam both days.  Watch our website for a link so you can see everything from your home or office.  The buck pole will be broadcast live on the net.
