LIGHT UP MANCELONA 2023 PARADE, EVENT
Light Up Mancelona will be held annually on the 2nd Saturday of December. This year's activities fall on December 9, 2023. Agenda will include a Holly Jolly Breakfast at Mancelona High School from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with hats and mittens distributed. Then, join us downtown Mancelona at Day's Designs and Antrim Outfitters for kids activities, some craft projects, and more visits with Santa from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. The famous guy will take a break in the afternoon, then arrive downtown by fire truck
at 5:00 p.m. We'll all meet at Triangle Park for the Village tree lighting, DJ music, a bonfire, free hot chocolate, hot dogs and cookies, treat bags for the kids, and more time to visit with Santa. Winners of the Window Decorating Contest will be announced. Light Parade entries will assemble at Mancelona Fire Department on Cedar River Road at 6:00 p.m., and the parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., led by the fire department. The parade will be short - just one pass on State Street beginning at the cemetery and ending at North Maple Street just before the traffic light. Homes and businesses are welcome to join the light parade and window decorating contest. For safety reasons, absolutely no walkers in the parade.
