LIGHT UP MANCELONA 2023 A SUCCESS
The annual Light Up Mancelona, held December 9, 2023, was a wonderful success! Many businesses and homes participated in the window
decorating contest. Kids enjoyed a full day of activities and opportunities to visit with Santa, Buddy the Elf, and the Grinch. Day's Designs and Antrim Outfitters, both located downtown Mancelona, opened their doors for the day and had several activities, treats and suprises for kids of all ages. Coloring crafts, homemade ornaments, t-shirts and even movies! In the evening, everyone gathered downtown at Triangle Park for a bonfire, lighting of the village's Christmas tree, holiday music, free hot dogs, hot chocolate and gift bags for all children. More than 200 children received bags as they visited the downtown area with their parents. We welcomed the opening of Indulge, a new candy store downtown. The evening wrapped up with a fun light parade with several first responders, businesses and families who drove their lighted vehicles through downtown.
