WINDOW DECORATING CONTEST AND LIGHT PARADE - CASH AND OTHER PRIZES
Mancelona Chamber of Commerce hosts the Window Decorating Contest, held in conjunction with the community-wide Light Up Mancelona annually on the 2nd Saturday of December. The contest is open to businesses and residents within approx. 5-mile radius of Mancelona. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places in both homes and business categories. To be included in the contest, please email the chamber and include your name, address and phone number. There is no charge to enter.

The community-wide events take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Kids can join Santa for a pancake breakfast from 9-11 a.m. at Mancelona High School. Evening events begin downtown at 5:00 p.m., with the arrival of Santa and special appearance by Buddy the Elf.
The LIght Parade will begin appox 6:30 p.m. after all children have seen Senta. Prizes will be awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. There is no charge to enter either event - window night or parade.
