RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY SET FOR DOWNTOWN
Exciting things are happening in downtown Mancelona, and all are invited to help us celebrate.
The Village of Mancelona, Mancelona Downtown Development Authority and Mancelona Chamber of Commerce are hosting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 12 noon to celebrate
the opening of several new businesses and the continued growth and renewal of our community.
Mancelona’s story is one of resilience. Since the devastating natural gas explosion that struck our downtown in 1995, our community has continued to rebuild, reinvest and move forward. Today, new businesses, renewed investment and ongoing downtown revitalization reflect both how far Mancelona has come and the confidence business owners continue to place in our community.
Village President Mike Allison will open the ceremony with a Welcome, downtown in front of the Village of Mancelona offices at noon.
Following the ribbon cutting, we’ll take a short walking tour of our new downtown businesses and then gather for a light lunch at Triangle Park, by the clock. We will serve hot dogs, donuts, cake, and cider.
